This local singer is the latest in a series of tango and blues musicians to perform in the intimate space behind the late-night bookshop and cultural centre Ler Devagar (Read Slowly). Open every night until midnight and ideally sited on the edge of the Bairro Alto, just around the corner from the hip Bar Nova, this is a pleasantly mellow place to squeeze in between dinner and clubbing. It has the best selections of publications on art, history and all things cultural – in Portuguese, English and other languages — of any bookshop its size in Lisbon.
